“Urban Diversity Education Europe GELATO-Road-Mascots” – “UDE European GELATO-Road-Mascots

The European Training and Research Institute (ETRI) recently celebrated a the “Urban Diversity Education Europe GELATO-Road-Mascots” – “UDE European GELATO-Road-Mascots” with a special event on June 14, 2024. This initiative, in collaboration with the Urban Diversity Education Campus at PH Wien , showcased the artistic talents of students from the Praxisvolksschule primary school at PH Wien.
As part of the GELATOn the ROAD project, students from various classes were invited to draw their interpretations of “GELATO-Road-Mascots”. These vibrant and imaginative mascots represented the diversity and creativity that the Urban Diversity Education Campus aims to foster. The students’ artwork not only highlighted their artistic skills but also underscored the importance of embracing diversity in education.
During the summer festival at the Urban Diversity Education Campus, the students’ efforts were formally recognized and celebrated. The highlight of the event was the presentation and ceremonial awarding of vouchers worth €200 each to the class funds of the participating classes. This generous award acknowledged the hard work and creativity of the young artists and provided resources to further support their educational activities.
The festival was a joyful occasion, bringing together students, teachers, and community members to appreciate the artwork and the spirit of diversity and inclusion that it represents. The event underscored the commitment of PH Wien and its partners to foster an educational environment where diversity is celebrated, and creativity is encouraged.
