“How to make GELATO” Workshop

On December 13, 2023, the “How to Make GELATO” workshop took place as part of the GELATOn the ROAD initiative, a European project co-funded by the European Union under the Creative Europe program. This workshop was hosted by Gelatieri Domenico Grandi and was specifically organized for students specializing in nutrition at the Institut Sekundarstufe Berufsbildung.

The workshop featured hands-on gelato making sessions, focusing on the production of strawberry and banana gelato. Participants, including students and teachers, engaged in the entire process from preparation to quality testing. The event served as a unique educational experience, emphasizing both the cultural significance and the technical skills required in gelato production.

The European Training and Research Institute (ETRI) in Vienna, Austria, played a key role in organizing this event, providing an innovative and interdisciplinary approach to the training sessions. The ETRI’s Project Office Vienna coordinated the logistics and facilitated the collaboration among various project partners to ensure the success of the workshop.
